Denim day in Dewey!!

As many seniors are handling the weight of college and school work, and some are employed it is sometimes difficult to make time and do something fun and exciting with your friends. Still, YBC Senior Week is a perfect idea for friends or even a single person to take part in.

Each day has a meaning

Spirit weeks don’t only encourage school spirit amongst students but it also encourages students to come to school. Dressing up to school that is out of the ordinary is fun and gives students a new outlook and environment.

Monday, November 13 was Senior Citizen Day.

Channeling your inner senioritis by dressing up how you feel, 65 and up!!

As an upcoming senior, I know senioritis is easy to get pulled into but difficult to get out of. Responsibilities are multiplying fast, getting out of bed seems to get harder and harder, feeling overly stressed, and lastly, college prep. Many seniors walked into school 48 years older, with grey hair and the comfiest outfits.

Tuesday, November 14 was Denim Day.

This day was to flaunt your favorite denim voices including accessories.

As many of us own jeans, why not show up to school in an all-denim outfit? This day is exactly for that, showing off skinny jeans, baggy jeans, and all the colorful pieces of denim one may own!

All denim was once a trend and even vouge approved.

Wednesday, November 15 was Back & White Day.

The colors that go with everything! You had the chance to wear your best black and white outfit.

Many of us love the monochromatic look so this day was super easy to join in on, especially because it was black and white.

Thursday, November 16 was Disney Day.

This day you had a chance to dress up as your best Disney character or sport your best Disney merch.

Friday, November 17 was Cleberity Doppleganger Day.

This day was meant to dress up as your favorite celeb or one you reassemble!

For many, it can be a nostalgic, sad, or busy time or even the only time they might have to dress up fully and go all out, so we want to capture that moment. The yearbook committee has all those funny and memorable moments that you can look back at on Instagram @dewey_yb24.

The purpose of Senior Week is a chance for seniors to enjoy dressing up to different themes and having fun with their senior year. Senior Sadie Ann is a part of the yearbook committee and expressed that the purpose of YBC senior week is, “To encourage the students to dress up and make them feel confident during their senior portrait season”.
